F.A.Q.
How do I place an order?
You can order online through our Request Delivery form, call us directly at 828-567-3068, or sign up for Automatic Delivery so you never have to think about it.
What's the minimum delivery amount?
We deliver a minimum of 100 gallons per visit.
How does Automatic Delivery work?
Once you're enrolled, we track your estimated usage based on your tank size, home size, and local weather, and schedule deliveries before you're likely to run low. No phone calls, no guessing — you just stay warm.
What if I run out of oil?
Running out isn't just inconvenient — it can let air into your fuel line and require a professional bleed of the system before your burner will restart. If you think you're low, call us right away at 828-567-3068 and we'll get you back up and running as quickly as possible.
How is your pricing determined?
Our price is based on the daily market rate for heating oil, plus delivery. Call for today's price, or check our Pricing page.
What areas do you deliver to?
We deliver throughout northern Buncombe County, Madison County, and parts of Yancey County. See our Service Area page for the full list, or call to confirm we cover your address.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, check, and major credit cards. Budget payment plans are available — call for details.
Do you offer budget payment plans?
Yes, we offer level-pay budget plans that spread your annual heating costs into equal monthly payments. Contact us to enroll.
How quickly can you deliver?
Standard delivery is typically within 2–3 business days. Emergency same-day or next-day delivery may be available — call to check.
Is Sluder Fuel Oil locally owned?
Yes. We've been a locally owned and operated business serving Western North Carolina families and businesses since 1984.
How do I check my tank level before calling?
Most residential tanks have a gauge on top near the fill pipe, similar to a car's fuel gauge. If you're not sure how to read yours, give us a call and we can walk you through it.
